Cooking Classes in Philadelphia

Background

My passion for cuisine started when I was a kid. I would spend hours observing my grandma and mom cooking and baking. I was attracted to the aroma of fried garlic, fresh vegetables and barbecue. I found them irresistible. At the age of 8, I made my first tiramisu all by myself. Then, at 18, I fell in love with vegetarian cuisine. I have spent the last 20 years showing my Italian friends and family that a vegetarian meal can be as tasty as a non-vegetarian one. In 2013, I left my hometown, a small city located in the north of Italy, and relocated to Philly. In hindsight, it was a courageous move, I was already in my 40s. Today I am glad I made that choice. It completely changed my life.

Experience

I started teaching cooking classes in 2016. It was a dream come true.

When your passion meets your job, you just can’t wait to start your working day! I am finally able to cook full time, create new recipes and give old ones my personal touch.

I work with all types and levels of students, from the novice to the high skilled cook. I’ve taught teenagers and adults.

I can teach the class in Italian, English or Spanish.

Back in Italy, I worked in crowded bars and fine restaurants. My passion for good food and wine has always been there.

When I moved to the US in 2014, my first job was … guess where? At an Italian restaurant!

My idea of a perfect Italian culinary experience is to show that a simple selection of fresh ingredients can result in a flavorful and delicious meal.

This is the secret of the Mediterranean cuisine!
